Warringah Triathlon Club is celebrating a win for all Northern Beaches cyclists with a decision to swap proposed speed humps at McCarrs Creek Road at Church Point with a cycle friendly option.
After discovering late last week that work was about to commence to install 12 speed humps along the popular cycle route, our committee swung into action - gaining a copy of the plans, enlisting the help of Manly Warringah Cycle Club and jointly lobbying to ensure cyclists using the area would not be impacted by the proposal.
With the support of Councillor Sarah Grattan, Northern Beaches Council listened to both parties' concerns and made the sensible decision to only use the flat top speed humps similar to those pictured, a great result for all recreational cyclists.

Aug 9th 2020: Race 1 - Duathlon
Aug 30th 2020: Race 2 - Duathlon
Oct 4th 2020: Race 3 - Duathlon
Nov 22nd 2020: Race 4 - Triathlon
Dec 13th 2020: Race 5 - Triathlon
Jan 10th 2021: Race 6 - Triathlon
Feb 14th 2021: Race 7 - Triathlon
Mar 14th 2021: Race 8 - Triathlon
April 11th 2021: Race 9 - Triathlon
Each race will be subject to current government health orders at the time, including a limit on competitor numbers. Registrations will open late July.
