Below you'll find information on the weekend's itinerary, details on the race, and tips on how to make the most of your Club Champs weekend.

The Race

Bike Check-in and Registration
Athletes must check in on the Friday evening prior to the race, with bike check-in closing at 9:30pm on Friday 13th November.

If you cannot make check-in on Friday evening, there are limited exceptions due to COVID restrictions, and you must email office@eliteenergy.com.au (and CC racedirector@warringahtriathlonclub.com) to advise them that you are checking in on Saturday morning.

Wave Start Times
The following are the wave start times that have been advised by Elite Energy. Note that these are subject to change at any time:

Male Waves

Males U/30 6:00am
Males 30-39 6:05am
Males 60+ 6:10am
Males 40-44 6:15am
Males 45-49 6:20am
Males 50-54 6:25am
Males 55-59 6:30am

Female Waves

Females U/30 7:30am
Females 60+ 7:35am
Females 30-39 7:40am
Females 40-49 7:45am
Females 50-59 7:50am

Course and Distances
The Club Champs course is:

1km swim, with a beach start on Forster's Main Beach;
30km bike, a 3-lap out-and-back course;
8km run, another 2-lap out-and-back course.

What to Bring

As we're racing as a club, we would love it if all Warringah athletes could be in club kit. We understand, however, that some members (especially those new to the club) do not yet have kit - so no pressure to acquire some at short notice!

Lots of triathlon race day checklists can be found online - but this is a personal favourite.

The Dinner

Our sold-out Club Champs Dinner will be held at Club Forster (see here for directions) from 5:45pm on Saturday 14th November. From 6pm we will be live streaming Triathlon NSW's coverage of the Club Champs awards presentation on the big screen. Make sure you wear your limited edition Club Champs tshirt, which will be distributed up in Forster!

The event will be COVID-safe, which means we are limited to 60 people. We must remain seated during the dinner and should avoid all mingling. When leaving the venue we must remain COVID safe and there will be no carpark parties. Triathlon as a community, and Warringah Triathlon Club will be under the spotlight so its important that we remain responsible and follow all the rules.
